The standard 1000 ml vessel may not always be the best fit for certain products. Spe-cifically, high-potency, low-dose products often benefit from utilizing low volumes of dissolution media. Certain products, where conventional dissolution methods may not accurately reflect in-vivo conditions. For instance, the buccal cavity does not have 900 ml fluid, which is typically used in traditional methods.
Proportionately smaller vessels, baskets and paddles are designed to overcome these challenges.
